Dreams Overhead

"Shades overhead,
 of blue and red..."

When was the last time you looked at the western horizon in the evening? Almost every night, the sky performs a spectacular light show in blue and red. Brilliant hues mold together in an ethereal flame that fills the world with a last burst of color before subsiding into the tranquility of twilight. 

There’s something very peaceful about this time of day, when there is no sun, no moon, and the first stars are only just beginning to peek through the velvet sky. It’s the perfect time to take a deep breath, wash away the troubles and worries of the day, and enjoy the simple things in life, like the colors in a sunset.

Maybe all those colors are a million dreams, hovering blithely in the sky, just waiting for the world to fall asleep...
