"Because It's Thursday..."

First of all, let me wish you a Very Happy Thursday indeed.

And Thursday couldn't have happened to fall on a nicer day than today. Our little pocket of home is shrouded in mist, a light drizzle is falling lazily on the back porch, and the only sound I can hear besides that of my fingers hitting the key board is the occasional cawing of a crow, muffled by the dense fog. Here and there, the sun is beaming through the overhanging gray, lighting up a cherry tree in full bloom or the fuzzy new leaves on the old willow tree.

It's the type of morning that is often underestimated, but in my opinion it's perfectly lovely.

Each little moment is a precious gift. Even if you aren't doing what you wanted to be doing, if an injury is keeping you away from the slopes, or you're at home with a cold when you wanted to be out on an adventure. Don't spend your life looking remorsefully back at the past, or anxiously forward to the future. Enjoy each moment for what it is, and reflect on everything you have to be thankful for, rather than what you don't have.

Gazing out over a landscape beautiful enough to rival anything out of one of my favorite novels, it's more than easy to consider the millions of blessings that I constantly receive and the countless reasons I have to be thankful. More than anything, I'm thankful for the God who gives them and for the unending joy that can be found in walking with Him.

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is it's own trouble." Matthew 6: 33-34
